Penn State York #1 Seed
Penn State York earned the #1 seed spot in the PSUAC post season for both men's and women's basketball
The stage is set…. PSUAC Eastern Division Quarterfinals will take place right here on the York Campus in The RUHL gym, TUESDAY NIGHT.
On the Women's side, #4 Penn State Schuylkill topped #5 Penn State Scranton Sunday afternoon, 56-46, to advance to Tuesday night's contest. The York Lady Lions topped Penn State Schuylkill in both meetings earlier this season, the latest being just last week. But this is the post-season, and the Schuylkill ladies have seemed to find their rhythm putting up 56 Sunday afternoon. Tuesday's action tip's off at 6:00pm, right here in the Ruhl!
The Penn State York Men will also play host to #5 Penn State Schuylkill – Tuesday night at 8:00PM! As with the Women, the York local Lions topped the men from Schuylkill in their two meetings this season, with each contest being close games with York winning the January 29th contest at Schuylkill 94-89, and then putting up 100 points on February 6 to their 83! Again, the post-season is a new chapter… and the regular season doesn't matter much now…. As the winner of both contests on Tuesday will then move onto the Semi-Finals on Friday night. If either or both York teams come out on top on Tuesday – we will Host those respective games here at home on FRIDAY!
On Friday, if we do advance, we will play host to the winner of the other East Division Quarterfinal in both the Women's and Men's game, Penn State Hazleton or Penn State Mont Alto.
The PSUAC Basketball Championships will be played on Monday; February 23rd, in REC HALL at University Park! More to come on that as we advance!
